PUNKNEWS.ORG

Seeing them around the Chicago scene for years, first as When Flying Feels Like Falling, then Ultrahazard, before forming Won’t Stay Dead, everything here feels natural; it’s a progression you could see coming cause they’ve been hashing this stuff out for years. It’s quite an accomplishment to craft such a consistent record that matches a vision as perfectly as Purgatory does. Won’t Stay Dead is at the top of their game and I’m excited to see where things go next.

THE MOSHVILLE TIMES

Won’t Stay Dead start slow and sultry, with clean vocals that are reminiscent of a ballad and a melody that reminds me of “A Little Piece of Heaven” by ‘Avenged Sevenfold’, slowly building from an almost proggy ballad into a kick-ass punchy punkrock track.

THE PUNK BUNKER

'Window Shopper,' by the best horror punk band in Chicago, Won't Stay Dead. [...] If you're still feeling spooky [...] or are just into great horror punk, I can highly recommend giving ['Purgatory'] a good ol' listen.
